This is a continuation of a story I’ve been telling on Substack. If you’ve just gotten here, read this one first.
In the bathroom were some toiletries including a tube of very old-looking hair gel. I want to say it was LA Looks. I would come to find this was the famed Dr. Bruce hair gel. He would show up ungelled in his scrubs and then steal away to the bathroom and re-emerge freshly gelled in a white t-shirt.
Like that scene in a movie where someone buys a box of cheap hair dye and holes up in a gas station bathroom to cut their hair with a switch blade and change their appearance because they’re on the run.
