When I last wrote about my experience on the Adam Carolla Show, I was talking about my first appearance on the show. There was a multiple months-long search for newsgirl and the way they conducted the auditions was to have prospectives sit in, do the news and “crack wise” on regular episodes. There was no test episode or audition like what you typically think of when you hear the word “audition.”
I first filled in in November of 2010. I had fun and felt I fit in well and got a good reaction and then nothing happened. I tried to put it out of my head.
That’s the conventional wisdom you hear about auditions: It’s a numbers game. It’s math. You have to just do your best and then put it out of your head.
