I’m in the camp who doesn’t want to be as extreme as going no-contact, but I want to… temporarily go no-contact. Or low-contact. Actions have consequences. I’m repulsed by DJT because he’s amoral and base in a way no other president has been, leaving aside his other declarations. Those are far harder traits to dismiss. The DJT supporters in my circle want to keep my friendship while not having to explain they’re giving a million passes for character they’d never tolerate otherwise.
It is starting. Look at his appointees. Department of Education, gone - hope your kids aren’t on the spectrum! Because that is where ALL FUNDING for special needs kids comes from. No more. Gone. He’s appointing a Fox News anchor as Secretary of Defence ffs! People who voted for Trump did so out of white fear (I’m losing my privilege!!!!) or they drank the kool ade. His entire platform was white nationalism and tariffs… Whether people cut off Trump voters is a personal choice. Personally, I choose not to give racist, misogynistic fascists my favour. I also have no time for morons who revel in their ignorance.
No the majority of special ed funding still comes from the states. But the protections (i.e. FAPE) are ensured at the federal level so I worry what it will look like in certain states.
Dog killer is head of Homeland Security. Rubio Secy of State. Bug eyed fascist assistant WH advisor for policy. Panel being set up to fire any general who refuses to take a loyalty pledge to Trump… it’s all happening
